Fresh Starts

It's all happening!  I pushed the first seeds into potting soil last week, and they are germinating beautifully -- the green onions, kale, and collards are all up.  Once they germinate they live inside under lights, allowing them to grow until the ground is warm enough to transplant.  So that means all the seeds have been ordered, and here are just a few highlights:
  • sun gold cherry tomatoes
  • blue hubbard winter squash
  • hinkelhatz hot pepper (old Pennyslvania Dutch variety)
  • mammoth red rock cabbage
  • easter egg radish
  • purple haze carrot
  • zeppelin delicata winter squash
  • chioggia beet
  • nevada summer crisp lettuce
  • joi choi bok choy
  • gold medal tomato (heirloom)
  • paul robeson tomato (heirloom)
  • cherokee purple tomato (heirloom)
..... just to name a few!
